Have you been to the new Gucci Pop-Up at Selfridges Yet? It’s Trippin’ with Gs!

Running in between shows at London Fashion Week does indeed feel like a frenzy, but why not take things even further? A little retail therapy in the form of an all-day psychedelic shindig – we’re not talking about some new experiential store which includes illegal substances, but Gucci Pin, the Italian brand’s latest pop-up taking place right now at Selfridges’ Corner Shop. On display until Sunday, March 1st, this is Alessandro Michele’s third Pin, which is a growing list of ephemeral shopping destination inspired the pins seen on interactive digital maps. After ones dedicated to Chinese New Year and the gift-giving holiday season, the Gucci Pin at Selfridges space is here to celebrate the launch of the eponymous collection which is all about the psychedelic visual impact of its rainbow colours and infectious party energy.

On this occasion, Michele has transformed the GG monogram into a multicoloured motif on a stark black background which is covering everything from luggage and tennis racket bags to dresses, shoes, coats… It’s all things emblazoned with the print, with a lot of exclusives available from the store including a backpack, a duffle bag and a bucket shoulder bag, all in an special green version of the print. The spirit is all about living through the 1970s psychedelia completed with neon lights and disco balls hanging everywhere. But instead of taking drugs, you’re getting high on dopamine thanks to buying Gucci’s goodies. No comedown guaranteed.

The Gucci Psychedelic Pop-up will be on at Selfridges’ Corner Shop in London until Sunday, March 1st.
